Dad
The snow is deep, very deep,
The winter morning sharp and bright.
A tiny girl all bundled up appears
Waiting just outside the kitchen gate,
Her daddy strong and safe holding out his hand
To lift her high upon his saddle,
Atop the big bay horse,
And carry her safely to the top of the hill
To catch the waiting yellow bus.
All through the years of her life
This same pattern will continue.
Always her Father's hand, strong and safe,
To carry her safely to the top of each hill.
The winter morning sharp and bright.
A tiny girl all bundled up appears
Waiting just outside the kitchen gate,
Her daddy strong and safe holding out his hand
To lift her high upon his saddle,
Atop the big bay horse,
And carry her safely to the top of the hill
To catch the waiting yellow bus.
All through the years of her life
This same pattern will continue.
Always her Father's hand, strong and safe,
To carry her safely to the top of each hill.
