Waldo

Some twenty odd years ago
On a warm day in early June,
A wee bit of a lad came to
Stay at our house and fill
Our lives with joy of living.

He grew to be tall and straight,
Has a gentleness of spirit
Rarely found in man,
He holds no malice in his heart
For any living thing,
He fills the place whereon he stands,
And brings dignity and honor to his name.

In my memory he lives with
Twinkling big brown eyes,
Head of golden curls,
Silly little laugh with toothy grin.
My last baby brother.
